Rustic Banjo/Vocal Duo The Lowest Pair Plays G.A.R. Hall in Peninsula

Fri 4/17 @ 7PM

If you caught the banjo-picking duo of Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee aka the Lowest Pair at Peninsula’s G.A.R. Hall in March as part of the Banjo Babes tour, you should be delighted to hear they’ll be back at the venue with a full evening to showcase their new album, The Sacred Heart Sessions.

Their bare-bones touring, rustic tunes and unadorned vocals reflects their back-to-the-land lifestyle in Olympia Washington. Their bio likens Winter’s keen to the depression farm wife vocals of Gillian Welch and Iris DeMent and that’s apt. The Lowest Pair’s act might remind you a little of the spare, old-timey feel Welch works up with her stage partner David Rawlings only with twin banjos instead of guitars.

Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.
