Sat 5/2 @ 8PM

For its next performance, Quire Cleveland, which features some of the best musicians in the area joining together to perform nine centuries of a cappella material, will be helping the First Congregational Church of Hudson celebrate its 150th anniversary.

The program, titled “Land of Harmony,” will feature American vocal music, both secular and religious. It includes “When Jesus Wept,” “Amazing Grace,” an early, 1814 version of “The Star Spangled Banner,” “Flow Gently, Sweet Afton,” and “Hymn of Peace,” which was sung by a choir of 10,000 at the end of the Civil War, as well as other tunes the group recorded for its CD Land of Harmony.

Reserved seat tickets are $30; general admission is $20.
