The monthly Neighborhood Nights at the Beachland Tavern give North Collinwood residents a chance to hang out and listen to some of the growing number of musicians who are moving into the area around Waterloo Road. They also gives people from outside the neighborhood a taste of the talent congregating there.
Bluesy rockers Moko Bovo, fronted by singer/harmonica player Dan Bode, have been regulars, having lately revived the ensemble that was popular around town in the late ’80s and early-mid ’90s. Witch and Toad and the Clear Callers, the two other acts on the bill, are new names to us, but take a chance and maybe you’l discover some music you like.
