Kent’s Hal Walker calls himself a “world class talent” with a “home town spirit.” The affable folk musician/ educator/musical instrument maven is indeed that, a performer who uses his music to engage his listeners both in his songs and in the unusual array of instruments he uses to execute them. As someone experienced in bringing music to schools and doing workshops for all ages, he’s likely to take time to explain that weird thing he’s about to play to a perplexed audience.
He’ll be performing at Peninsula’s G.A.R. Hall for its Voices in the Valley series. Admission is $7.
