Concert at Peninsula’s G.A.R. Hall to Raise Money to Fight Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

Cleveland-based blues-rock singer/guitarist/trumpet player Kristine Jackson’s cousin Liz Bohman, died of Hodgkin’s leukemia in 2009. In her honor and memory, Jackson and some of her friends are performing “A Concert for Liz.” Those friends include veteran blues belter Becky Boyd, sultry singer Rachel Brown who fronts the jazz-cum-blues-cum-alt-country band the Beatnik Playboys and Cleveland Orchestra violinist Emma Shook.

Doors open at 7 with music from 7:30-11pm. It includes a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Tickets are $40 in advance, $45 at the door. All proceeds benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s research and patient support for Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
