Cellocentric Performs Brownbag Concert @TrinityCleve

CellocentricGroup

Wed 4/29 @ noon

The three area musicians who make up the core of Cellocentric have had diverse musical experiences that they bring together to create their mix of jazz, folk, pop, new age and classical music.

Guitarist Doug Wood and bassist Darren Frate played together in the jazzy folk/rock ensemble Watts Gnu in the late ’80s and early ’90s and have worked together on and off ever since. Wood has pursued a solo career as a fingerstyle acoustic guitarist while Frate has performed behind artists like Peter Noone, Mitch Ryder, Mark Farner and Ian Hunter, among others. Cellist Tara Hanish, meanwhile, stretches her musical wings from a chair in the Akron Symphony to her gig in acclaimed Cleveland rock band Seafair.

They’ll be performing at Trinity Cathedral as part of its weekly Brownbag concert series. The one-hour concerts are free. Bring your lunch or buy one there for $5.
