Waterloo Alley Cat Fundraiser Helps Collinwood’s Feral Felines

It’s been a tough year for the big-hearted volunteers who care for feral cats in the North Collinwood neighborhood. A couple of their beloved cats were hit by cars, another was poisoned, and nearly 20 were killed by a roaming pack of dogs let loose in the area by their owner. Being a feral cat is no easy life.

But the plucky cat lovers who comprise the Waterloo Alley Cat Project will never give up on their babies. And they’re ready to bring fellow cat aficionados together once again for the annual Waterloo Alley Cat Project fundraiser. It’s probably the #1 event of the year for those who like to hang out with other cat lovers and just wallow in felinity all night long.

You’ll get to see a slide show starring dozens of the neighborhood cats, browse all kinds of silent auction premiums from pet supplies to guitars to wine to original art pieces. There’ll be free food and Waterloo Alley Cat Project merch for sale (be sure to pick up one of their 2015 calendars featuring cats who own local people). Ghoulbunny and Selektor J Kelly will be spinning music.

The event, taking place at Gallery One Sixty on Waterloo, is free but donations of both money and cat food will be gratefully accepted. They’re hoping to fill the red truck that will be parked outside.
