Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “La finta giardiniera” reveals the tangled lives of an Italian town’s inhabitants- each one with a hidden past.

CoolCleveland huddled with Oberlin Opera Theater Director Jonathon Field and Assistant Professor of Conducting Raphael Jimenez backstage at the dress rehearsal of “La finta giardiniera,” where they marvelled at Mozart’s precocious talents at the age of 18 when he wrote this opera, and explained why a mysterious rabbit haunts this production. Oberlin Opera Theater’s production features remarkable conservatory vocalists, the Oberlin Orchestra, and no shortage of bunnies! $10 (students 18/under free with paying adult). Performances take place at 8PM on Wed 3/11, Fri 3/13, Sat 3/14, and at 2PM on Sun 3/15.
