The Monday after Easter is Dyngus Day, aka Wet Monday. Lent is over, Easter is done… now it’s time to have some fun with Polish music, beer, and cuisine. Think of it as a Polish Mardi Gras. Hosted by DJ Kishka, the event drew 20,000 people last year. This year promises to be bigger and better with a beer tent, Frankie Yankovic tribute, cultural music, dancing, and food and even some vegan pierogies.
“I wanted to celebrate the rich heritage of the Polish and Eastern European Cultures here in Cleveland,” Kishka says. “We are also exited about the Frankie Yankovic tribute this year. Without Frankie, we would
not be polka dancing in the streets!”
