Beer Feature:  Rivertowne Maxwell’s Scottish Ale  WORLD BEER CUP 2014 SILVER MEDAL WINNER. This ale from Pennsylvania is delightfully malty with complex caramel overtones lending to the smoothest finish you will ever experience! This Scot comes alive, as five different varieties of malt create a deep, surprisingly smooth finish. Intrigued? Go ahead and lift its kilt!

   * Bourbon – Town Branch Bourbon is aged in new, charred white oak barrels which infuses the bourbon with a golden amber honey color.
   * Whiskey – Pease Lyon’s Reserve is distilled in dual copper pot stills from Scotland, Pease Lyon’s Reserve is the first malt whiskey produced in Kentucky since 1919.
   * Rye – Town Branch Rye has spicy floral aroma, then the light, spicy rye notes of vanilla and oak finishing with a peppery, warm dry finish.

Cleveland Indians Spring Training Opener Event at Melt Bar and Grilled Join the Indians at Melt Lakewood on to check out the team’s Spring Training Opener on Tue 3/3 from 3pm-6pm.  Enter to win a chance to win 2 Opening Day tickets and tour the newly renovated Right Field District before Opening Day! Indians mascots and staff will be at Melt Lakewood to take in the team’s Spring Training opener against the Cincinnati Reds from Goodyear, AZ. First pitch is set for 3PM Eastern.  Melt Lakewood (14718 Detroit Ave.): Will start the Happy Hour 1 hour early from 3-7PM, including $1 off beer, wine and liquor.

Melt Bar and Grilled Cleveland Television Segment Owner/Founder Matt Fish and Melt Bar and Grilled will be featured on the WVIZ/PBS food & restaurant series called Beyond the Dish.  The Melt episode will be airing on Thu 3/5 at 7:30pm as part of the show Applause.  The episode will feature great footage of Matt and host Lauren Wilson discussing all things Melt while touring the first Melt Bar and Gilled location in Lakewood, Ohio. Beyond the Dish introduces viewers to the aesthetics, eye candy and other unique elements that—in addition to the food—nourish the restaurant experience. Melt Recycles! Did you know that Melt Bar and Grilled recycles?  We have been recycling nearly 100% of our used cardboard since January 2012.  In that time we have recycled approximately 117 TONS of cardboard!  Every ton of cardboard recycled saves 17 trees so Melt has saved approximately 3,009 trees since 2012!  Awesome!

 

John G Documentary Release The Monthly posters at Melt Bar and Grilled each month have become an important part of the Melt culture.  The posters  are drawn exclusively for Melt by famous local artist and good guy John G.  Check out the new John G documentary “Draw Hard” which has just been released to the public.  The documentary is a fascinating look into the life and creative process of artist John G.  The film was made by the local Cleveland company Turn Style Films.   https://www.fandor.com/films/draw_hard and http://www.drawhard.vhx.tv/
