Learn the History of Maple Sugaring @clevemetroparks

ms

Sat 3/7 – Sun 3/22

While it’s pretty much dead time as far as harvesting goes… there is one thing now in season: maple syrup. Ohio’s maple trees are ready to be tapped, but how does sap turn into our beloved pancake companion? Take a walk down the Sugarbush Trail and see how sap is collected from trees, then step into the Sugarhouse to see how boiling sap transforms it to syrup. Tours available. It all takes place in the Maple Grove Picnic Area in the Rocky River Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks Saturdays and Sundays from 11am – 4pm.
