Edible Books Festival Is Back @LoganberryBooks

EdibleBooks

Sat 4/4 @ 1PM

The Edible Books Festival is an international movement that begin 15 years ago. Now cities around the world hold them during the first week in April. In Cleveland, they’re hosted by Loganberry Books, and this year’s festival is its twelfth.

Here’s the scoop: local artists, bookbinders, chefs and anyone with a great idea come up with creative concepts for “books” made out of food products, which can be anything from cake to carrots. The books are judged in several categories by attending guests, and after the awards are announced, the “books” get eaten.

The categories for this year include most literary, most appetizing, best binding and best pun. Viewing and voting begins at 1 pm; eating starts at 2 after the awards are announced.

There’s no fee to participate. Just register ahead of time by calling Emily at 216-795-9800 or Emily@logan.com. (Set-up times is noon). It’s free to participate and view the books. If you’d like to vote and consume, it’s $3.
