Jazz Pianist Jackie Warren Plays for @TrinityCleve Brownbag Concert

JackieWarren

Wed 2/11 @ 12:10PM

Jackie Warren is in the top echelon of area jazz pianists. Her gig calendar is loaded with solo piano bookings, shows with her jazz ensemble, and Latin jazz performances with Sammy DeLeon and many others. Her feel for Latin jazz is particularly impressive considering that she came to Cleveland to study classical piano at Oberlin College (She also has a masters degree in classical piano performance from Cleveland State).

As a result of her versatility, she’s always popping up in a variety of contexts. This week, she’ll be at Trinity Cathedral as part of its weekly Brownbag concert series. She’ll perform a program of “favorites,” which we imagine will pretty much cover the musical waterfront. Then she’ll be joined by Trinity’s director of music and worship, organist Todd Wilson, for a performance of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.

It’s free. You can bring a lunch to eat or buy one there for $5.
