Valentine’s Day and chocolates have always seemed to go hand in hand. After the sentimental card and the flowers, chocolate is one of the most popular gifts on the lovers’ holiday.
Chocolatier Cassandra Fear of Fear’s Confections in Lakewood wants to get you thinking about your chocolate gift purchase early so you’re not running around at the last minute picking up a cheap box at the drugstore. She’s hosting an early Valentine’s Day event called Fall in Love at Fear’s where you can get first dibs at her special holiday items.
She’s also promising a giveaway and sale items and, best of all, an appearance by Cleveland burlesque queen Bella Sin who will be in full costume. OK, maybe that’s not BETTER than chocolate, but it’s just as good. Sin is hosting her annual Sweetheart Showcase burlesque show at the Beachland on Sat 2/14, so she’ll probably be tantalizing you with hints to make you want to attend. Buy some chocolate first though and bring me one of Fear’s wonderful banana chocolate brownies.
