Cleveland’s seasonal ensemble the Ohio City Singers involves many of the same players as its other seasonal group the Boys from the County Hell.
Formed by area musician Chris Allen a decade ago, the eight-member local all-star group has generated three albums featuring a bunch of original holiday tunes that have become area favorites, so much so that many of the dates on their annual month-long sweep of the area have been sold out. They wrap it up at Peninsula’s G.A.R. Hall Saturday but that is sold out. Tickets remain, however, for their Friday night show at the House of Blues. They’re $12 in advance, $15 at the door.
Then just a few days later, some of the members, including Allen, will regroup as the Boys from the County Hell for a St. Patrick’s Day meets drunken Irish Christmas revelry. That’s also at the House of Blues. Tickets are $10 in advance, $13 at the door.
