Sat 12/20 @ 9PM

Want to hear some of the bands shaking up the local indie rock scene? Head down to the Grog Shop for a quadruple bill featuring Herzog (pictured), Shale Satans, Queen Buzz and Ma Holos.

Herzog are the veterans here: this quartet (with behind-the-scenes member Tony Vorell providing lyrics) has been crafting its melodic pop-rock for five years, putting out three albums on former Cleveland-based label Exit Stencil, now based in Brooklyn. With each one, they’ve gotten more praise and attention beyond northeast Ohio.

Shale Satans’ garage surf has rapidly found favor in area clubs; they released their first EP Get Weird this summer. And Ma Holos garage-psych is getting attention from a similar crowd. Both bands formed just last year, bringing fresh energy to the area music scene.

Chicago’s Queen Buzz is also on the bill.

Admission is $5.
