Guitarist Marc Ribot Plays Original Soundtrack to Chaplin Film Live @ClevelandArt

Marc Ribot

Sun 12/14 @ 1:30PM

Guitarist Marc Ribot is a musically elusive guy, one of those musicians you’re pretty sure you’ve heard of but you can’t quite attach a musical identity to. That’s because he’s an adventurous shapeshifter who has performed almost every kind of music from the most adventurous jazz to mainstream pop and rock. He’s worked with artists ranging from John Zorn to Allen Toussaint to Tom Waits to John Mellencamp to the Black Keys.

He’s also done a lot of film soundtracks so he should be very comfortable providing a live, original soundtrack to a screening of the 1921 Charlie Chaplin silent comedy The Kid when it screens at the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Gartner Auditorium.

Tickets are $12, $10 for members. Kids under 10 are free with an adult ticket.
