Natalie MacMaster is perhaps the most prominent and celebrated proponent of Cape Breton fiddle music outside the Nova Scotia Celtic community it hails from. Now 42, she released her first album when she was only 16 and has continued to tour her spirited Irish, Scottish and bluegrass-inflected music around the world, even while having six children in the last decade with her fiddler husband Donell Leahy. Wonder how many little fiddlers will come out of that crew!
She’ll be bringing her Christmas in Cape Breton program to Severance Hall where she’ll perform with the Cleveland Orchestra, conducted by Brett Mitchell.
