People will be dancing up storm when Cleveland’s Cats on Holiday and Blue Lunch combine their high-energy musical forces at the Music Box Supper Club.
While their sounds aren’t similar — Cats on Holiday specializes in Americana with a southern swamp rock bent, while Blue Lunch is an eight-piece horn band dedicated to sounds drawn from the late ’40s and early ’50s like jump blues, swing and rockabilly — both play infectious music that make it hard to sit still. So there will be a big dance floor at Music Box during this show.
There’ll be warm-up time: Cats on Holiday will do an unplugged set at 7, followed by their full-on rock & roll set. And they’ll be taping it for an upcoming video release so the sets will include some new material along with their old favorites. Blue Lunch hits the stage at 9:15.
