A one-time medalist in the Cleveland international Piano Competition, then called the Casadesus competition, Canadian musician Angela Hewitt has gone on to a stellar career as a concert pianist.
She’s known especially for her passion for Bach. She spent ten years recording all his major piano works and does frequent lecture/recitals on his music. So when she makes a rare return to Cleveland, as she’ll be doing at the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Gartner Auditorium, of course there’ll be a little Bach on the program.
She’ll open with his Partita No. 5 in G Major before going on to play works by Beethoven, Liszt, Albéniz and Scarlatti.
Tickets are $25-$35.
