Los Angeles-based Fitz & the Tantrums have been winning over a lot of fans in the last couple of years with their soul-infused indie rock sound. (Many may remember their impressive performance in 2011 as part of the Rock Hall’s free Summer in the City outdoor concert series.) The six-member band Los Angeles band build a foundation with their 2010 debut Pickin’ Up the Pieces before signing with Elektra Records for last year’s More Than Just a Dream.
In addition to the male/female lead vocals of band founder Michael Fitzpatrick and Noelle Scaggs, the band draws on keyboards, horns and strings to create a full sound that’s both retro and fresh.
The band will be playing at the Masonic Auditorium with Big Data opening.
