Community Solutions — a non-profit, non-partisan think-tank with offices in Cleveland and Columbus, has named a new executive director. Meet John R. Corlett, who, for the past four years, has served as vice president for government relations and community affairs at the MetroHealth System. He has previously served as Ohio’s State Medicaid Director and has served in leadership roles in many community organizations.
“Community Solutions is an organization I have long admired,” said Corlett. “I know from my experience that it can be an influential organization making a tremendous difference in the lives of Ohio’s most vulnerable people.”
“I am naturally an optimist,” he continued in a press release, “and I believe we can make important progress if we pursue it in an organized and strategic way. I want to bring that optimism, and a life-time of public and non-profit experience to bear on the important work of CCS—in Cleveland, in Columbus, and across the state. I couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity.”
Corlett will succeed John A. Begala, who is retiring at the end of 2014.
