For four decades, folkie Alex Bevan has been a reliable and beloved presence in the local music scene. His mix of sentimental and humorous material has engaged local audiences since his endearing song “Skinny Little Boy (From Cleveland Ohio” from his 1974 album Springboard hit the local airwaves.
With 21 albums under his belt, he’s got more fan favorites than he could possibly play in a single evening. But he’s going to try to accommodate as many people as he can when he heads for the Kent Stage to host an evening of tunes old and new. And although he often performs solo, this time he’ll be bringing a band of talented Cleveland veterans along to flesh out the tunes — Dave Young on keyboards, Bill Watson on bass and Tom Dobeck on drums.
