Cleveland’s New Moon Rising are relatively new on the local scene. But they’re set release their second album Bohemia Nervosa, the follow-up to 2012’s The Deep Unknown. The four musicians draw on classic acts like Pink Floyd, Neil Young, James Taylor, Fleetwood Mac, and the Eagles, adding a spritz of contemporary folk/rock bands like Wilco and My Morning Jacket for a sound that’s bright, clear and timeless.
For their CD release show, which takes place at the Kent Stage, they’ll be joined by keyboard player Russel Flanagan to fill out their sound. Conveniently, he plays with Ray Flanagan & the Authorities, who will be one of the opening acts. Also on the bill are Riptide and Vanishing Apollo.
