Thu 10/30 @ 9am – 4pm

Let’s move Ohio’s foster system forward. On any given day in Cuyahoga County there are about 1,100 children living in foster care. Kids, through no fault of their own, are removed from their parents home and left to experience isolation and loneliness. The experience can be especially traumatic for youth who age out of the system at age 18 with no family of their own.

So, how can we make the system better? Experts from across the nation will convene in Cleveland to discuss ways to change Ohio’s foster care system. One of the speakers will be Antwone Fisher, author of the memoir Finding Fish and the subject of the award-winning film Antwone Fisher with Denzel Washington.
