Gala Pays Tribute to Everly Brothers @PlayhouseSquare

MusicMasters

Sat 10/25 @ 7:30PM

After five days of events dedicated to exploring the influential career of early rock ’n’ roll singing duo the Everly Brothers, the Rock Hall’s Music Masters series converges on PlayhouseSquare’s State Theatre for its epic final — the gala concert that always closes this annual tribute to a Rock Hall inductee.

As usual, the concert includes an intriguing variety of artists, some with no obvious connection to the Everlys. Among the acts who’ll sing and play Everly Brothers hits like “Cathy’s Clown,” “When Will I Be Loved,” and “All I Have To Do Is Dream” are Peter Asher, Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, Ledisi, Shelby Lynne, Alison Krauss, Bonnie “Prince” Billy and Dawn McCarthy, Keb’Mo’, Allison Moorer, Graham Nash, the Secret Sisters, JD Souther and Waddy Wachtel. The house band will include guitarist Albert Lee, who was musical director of the Everlys 1983 reunion concert. Country singer/songwriter Rodney Crowell is the musical director.

Tickets are $30-$100.
