Sat 10/11 + Sun 10/12

The Cleveland Foundation is back with more gifts. This time, they’re giving you the gifts of a free weekend of Lake County goodness. On Sat 10/11 get free admission to Holden Arboretum; walk scarecrow row, get lost in a corn maze and gaze at the beautiful autumn scenery surrounding you.

Then, on Sun 10/12, get free admission to Lake Metroparks Farmpark; make apple cider and apple butter, paint pumpkins and wander through another corn maze.

Both places will be open from 9am – 5pm. Visitors are encouraged to bring a non-persishable food donation for United Way Lake County’s “Feed Lake County” campaign.

“In our centennial year, it is important to show that our community impact extends beyond Cleveland and Cuyahoga County,” said Robert E. Eckardt, the foundation’s executive vice president, in a news release.

“Nearly 30 years ago, our board set up the Lake-Geauga Fund, officially extending our service area,” he said. “By opening the doors next weekend to two great Lake County institutions that are part of our history, we hope families will discover the fun, educational destinations that await them at the arboretum and Farmpark.”

Get out and enjoy.
