It’s only been a little more than a year since the Cleveland Culinary Launch and Kitchen opened, providing kitchen, processing and storage space for budding food entrepreneurs on the outskirts of downtown. It’s also offered a class to help guide those upstarts and give them pointers on business and promotion.
CCLK held a free open house so the public could meet some of those food startups and sample their wares. There was the usual bunch of cupcakes, salsas, pickles, and hot sauce makers, as well as some distinctive products such as frosting, applesauce, and gingerbread houses constructed by two older men from North Olmsted. It was all pretty tasty, and CCLK provides the space for those with a great idea to give it a spin.
