Have a Honeybee Experience at Geauga County’s McCune Apiaries

Thu 9/18 @ 7-9PM

There’s a little bit of a chill in the air, and it’s clear fall is arriving. Soon it’ll be time to start your day with a cup of hot tea again. And nothing is better in that cup than a big dab of honey made by local bees.

So it’s the perfect time for Geauga County’s Agrarian Collective and quarterly foodie magazine Edible Cleveland to hold their final Edible Thursday event of the year — “Honey Harvest,” taking place at the McCune Family Apiaries (that’s a bee farm, for the uninitiated) in Auburn Township.

There, Gene McCune will show guests how honey is collected. Then Agrarian Collective’s Kelli Hanley Potts will demonstrate how to infuse the honey with herbs to make a distinctive addition to your favorite tea.

Finally, Chef Kimberly will do a cooking demonstration while you munch on appetizers and sip on Chagrin Falls-produced Hungry Bee Rehive Ale. If there’s a nip in the air, you shouldn’t feel a thing!

Tickets are $45. Reserve your spot here.
