L.A. Power Popster Adam Marsland Returns to Barking Spider

Thu 8/28 @ 6PM

Southern California-based Adam Marsland is a familiar face to Cleveland power-pop fans. He used to play the old Grog Shop with his band Cockeyed Ghost in the ’90s, where his well-crafted tunes, some humorous, some earnest and emotional won him a small but devoted following.

As a solo artist with many recordings under his belt, he’s made numerous Cleveland stops when he hits the road, usually at the Barking Spider on the Case Western Reserve campus. He’ll be back there again as he traverses the country, this time celebrating the 5th anniversary of the rerelease of his 2009 album Go West. This comes on top of the release of a new album The Owl and the Full Moon last year.

The prolific songwriter has a huge repertoire, but he’s always willing to entertain requests if you have a special favorite.

There’s never any cover at the Spider. They pass a hat and if you like what you hear, you can donate to the artist.
