You’ll probably want to make your reservations right now, if you’re going to make mom to the House of Blues’ Kirk Franklin Presents Gospel Brunch for Mother’s Day.
There’ll be two seatings for the all-you-can-eat brunch heavy on southern specialties, like jambalaya and chicken and waffles.
The music will be provided by Lafayette Carthon and his ensemble Faith. Keyboardist Carthon’s a Cleveland School of the Arts and Oberlin College graduate who moved on to work with artists like Mary J. Blige, Celine Dion, and R. Kelly. He now shares his hard-won knowledge with students of all ages at his Carthon Conservatory in Cleveland’s Glenville neighborhood.
Tickets are $38 for adults, $29 for senior, and $18 for kids 6-12. Order them at the House of Blues website.
