EDWINS Restaurant on Shaker Square has quite a story to tell. Not only is it an elegant French-style establishment perfect for a special occasion or a special date, but the attentive and knowledgeable staff are all ex-felons being trained for careers in the food service industry where what you did in the past is less important that what you are doing right now.
That story is told in the Oscar-nominated documentary Knife Skills, directed by Thomas Lennon. The movie will premier just across the Square from EDWINS at Shaker Square Cinemas in a special screening that will include hors d’oeuvres and a specialty cocktail at 6pm, followed by the film at 7. After the film, EDWINS founder Brandon Chrostowski and some of the people appearing in the film will answer questions.
Tickets are $40 per person in advance, and $45 at the door if any remain.
