Play at Kent State Stark Campus Recalls Shootings at Connecticut Elementary School

Fri 4/20 & Sat 4/21 @ 7:30PM

Sun 4/22 @2PM

Kent State University at Stark Theatre’s final production of the year is a timely one, given the renewed focus on gun safety, which alas did not happen following the events of the play.

Titled 26 Pebbles, it looks at the 2012 school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Connecticut, where 20 first graders and six staff and faculty were killed. Playwright Eric Ulloa looks into the tragedy’s aftermath and how the community worked toward healing.

This is the second and final weekend for the show. There will be a pre-show panel discussion Sat 4/21 @ 4:30-6pm,and a post-show talkback on Sun 4/22 following the performance in the Fine Arts Theatre on campus. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and non-KSU students and free for KSU students.
