Emerge Microcinema is a pop-up series that screens mostly local underground/independent films in non-film venues, such as Forest City Brewery. That’s where the upcoming event, featuring four Memphis filmmakers, takes place.
The films, all part of Tennessee-based Piano Man Pictures collective, deal with such topics as the effects of greed and a mentally ill patient without access to medical care. The filmmakers and collective members will be there to hold an interactive conversation following the films.
Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door.
