Guitarist Dan Wilson Joins the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra for Two Nights of Caribbean Sounds

Fri 5/11 @ 8PM

Sat 5/12 @ 8PM

The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, which promotes both traditional and contemporary big band jazz, also has a mission to support up-and-coming artists. One of those is guitarist Dan Wilson, a performer/educator with music degrees from Hiram College and Youngstown State University. He’s been heard around town with various ensembles and has toured with organ legend Joey DeFrancesco.

He’ll be joining CJO for two evenings called “Caribbean Explosion,” featuring the alluring sounds of Afro-Cuban music, samba and bossa nova. They’ll perform at Blu Jazz + in Akron on Fri 5/11 and at Playhouse Square’s Ohio Theatre on Sat 5/12.

Tickets range from $25-$55.
