Nashville Singer-Songwriter Rod Picott Returns to Oberlin’s Riverdog Gallery with a New Album

Sat 2/10 @ 7:30PM

Nashville-based singer/songwriter Rod Picott is one of those guys who’s not famous but has built up a steady career, playing clubs coast to coast and cranking out albums of his finely honed songs at regular intervals. He’s released ten albums in the last 16 years, the most recent being 2015’s Fortune, and performers such as Slaid Cleaves, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and Fred Eaglesmith, themselves respected songwriters, have recorded his tunes.

Just a year ago, he performed for the fifth time at Lorain County’s Riverdog Gallery. Now he’s back for the sixth time, and this time he’s got a new album in tow called Out Past the Wires featuring 22 songs from rockers to ballads on a double vinyl or CD format. On top of that, he’s bringing his new book of poetry titled God in his Slippers.

Lorenzo’s wood-fired pizza will be available when the doors open at 6, but as usually you are welcome to bring your own food and drink. Admission is $15. Since seating at the indoor gallery, where winter concerts take place, is limited, reservations are essential. Go to the website or call 440-965-8309.
