Dancing Wheels Announces Location of Its New Home

This past September, we reported that Cleveland’s Dancing Wheels was being forced to move its rehearsal space, school, offices and storage space from the Masonic Performing Arts Center at 36th and Euclid, its home for 20 years.

The groundbreaking 37-year-old ensemble, which integrates wheelchair and “stand-up” dancers, was told last summer by the new building owners that they would have to vacate by February 2018, later extended through May.

The company announced on Mon 1/29 that it has located a new home, and it’s not going far. It make its move to the new space, located at 3030 Euclid Avenue, the first week of May. Dancing Wheels is in the process of raising $500,000 in its Moving Toward a Lasting Legacy Campaign, with $190,000 raised so far. In addition to money, it is looking for office furniture and kitchen appliances, and volunteers to help with painting, packing and unpacking.

Contact the company at www.dancingwheels.org or 216-432-0306 if you are interested in helping out.
