The Cleveland Chamber Music Society concludes its 2016-2017 with a performance by the venerable Takacs Quartet, founded 42 years ago in Budapest and in residence at the University of Colorado, Boulder for 32 years. While only one member remains from the founding lineup, the group has maintained the high quality they’ve become known for over the years.
Their Cleveland program is a crowd-pleaser, devoted entirely to quartets by Beethoven. On the program: String Quartet in B-flat major, Opus 18; String Quartet in F-major, Opus 135; and String Quartet in C major, Opus 59, No 3 “Razumovsky.”
The concert takes place, as usual, at Plymouth Church in Shaker Heights. Tickets are $30.
