Dana Brass Quintet Closes Music From the Western Reserve’s Season in Hudson

Sun 4/8 @ 5PM

The sound of brass will echo through the sanctuary of Hudson’s Christ Church Episcopal, when the Dana Brass Quintet performs at the final program of Music from the Western Reserve’s 35th season.

The members of the ensemble — horn player Stacie Mickens, trumpeters Christopher Krummel and Nicholas Samson, bass trombonist Hakeen Nilal and tuba player Brian Kiser — are all on the faculty of Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music with extensive experience playing with orchestra, behind major pop artists, in jazz bands and in brass chamber ensembles.

They’ll perform works by George Frideric Handel, Michael Tilson Thomas, Camille Saint-Saëns, J.S. Bach, Johann Strauss and even Billy Joel, among others. Tickets are $20; student admission is free.
