Birds of Chicago Bring Their Powerful Music to Lorain County’s Riverdog Gallery

Fri 12/1 @ 7:30PM

The music at the Riverdog Retreat has moved inside from the barn to the gallery for the winter, creating a more intimate listening experience.

It should be an ideal setting for the upcoming performance by Birds of Chicago, a collective gathered around the songwriting of JT Nero and the voice of Allison Russell. Nero began writing for Russell, his “muse,” in 2012, finding in her the perfect vehicle for his pensive, passionate tunes. The group now has three albums out, including last year’s Real Midnight and maintains a heavy performing schedule, touring 200 nights a year.

Lorenzo’s wood-fired pizza will be onsite, offering pies for $8. But as usual, you can bring what you want to eat or drink. Admission is $20 and since it’s inside with more limited seating, reservations are essential. Go to the website or call 440-965-8309.
