Multimedia Artist Elisabeth Cain Pressler Opens Show at Shaker Historical Society

The Jack and Linda Lissauer Gallery at the Shaker Historical Society is opening a new show called Enigmatic Nostalgia by multimedia artist/educator and 2010 Kent State University graduate Elisabeth Cain Pressler.

Inspired by vintage works, including old photographs, she combines abstract and figurative imagery in her paintings, prints and collages which incorporate found objects, resin , vintage paper and frames and manipulated digital images into traditional techniques such as gouache, watercolor, and printmaking.

The show opens with a reception Thu 4/13 @ 6-8pm. It’s open to the public but they request that you RSVP at 216-921-1201. It remains on view through Fri 6/2 during museum hours — Tues-Fri @ 11-5pm and Sun @ 2-5pm.
