No Exit New Music Performs for Music for Miles at Waterloo Arts

Sun 4/8 @ 4PM

The next Music for Miles concert at Waterloo Arts features Cleveland’s No Exit New Music, which specializes in playing newly commissioned works, and encouraging young musicians and composers. So expect the unfamiliar — no Brahms or Bach this afternoon!

Musicians Nicholas Underhill (piano), Cara Tweed (violin), James Rhodes (viola), Nicholas Diodore (cello), Gunnar Owen Hirthe (clarinet) Luke Rinderknecht (percussion) Scott McKee (trumpet) and special guest Cleveland Orchestra trumpet player Jack Sutte will play music by Cleveland composers James Praznik, Ty Emerson and Andrew Rindfleisch, as well as Leo Ornstein, Per Norgard and Tristan Murail.

As always the free concerts are informal and family-friendly, with an art exhibit (currently, Stephen Cup’s Breaking Point) as background, food and drink available from Callaloo Café next door, and the chance to meet and mingle with the musicians.
