The 14th Annual Art Fur Animals Benefits the Work of Friends of the Cleveland Kennel

Sat 5/19 @ 6-10PM

Want to be in a very large room surrounded by a mob of people who live animals and art? Then you’ll want to be at Friends of the Cleveland Kennel’s annual fundraiser Art Fur Animals, now in its 14th year.

This year it’s taking place at a brand new location: Grays Armory in Playhouse Square. But it will feature all the stuff regular attendees love starting with the fiberglass dogs and cats customized by local artists that are live auctioned at the end of the night, sometimes fetching jaw-droppingly high amounts that could help dozens of animals. Then there’s tons of other art by northeast Ohio artists in the silent auction, ranging from photographs, prints and paintings to jewelry, ceramics and sculpture — some but not all of its animal-themed.

There is also an array of raffle baskets with everything from sports tickets to spa visits, appetizers, desserts, wine and local craft beers served by celebrity bartenders, and music by DJ Funk-Shway prior to the live auction. WKYC’s Dawn Kendrick is the event emcee.

Tickets are $40 in advance $50 day of the event, which includes two drink tickets. VIP tickets are $12 and include early entry, a private lounge, free parking, five drinks, a special menu, an event T-shirt and a limited-edition print by a local artist.
