Unlike its better-known counterpart, 78th Street Studios, the Lake Erie Building aka Screw Factory in Lakewood is still an industrial building on its ground floor.
The top two floors, however, are home to an array of artist studios and creative small businesses. And from time to time, they invite the public in for an open house, where those studio doors are open to visitors and guest artists and artisans fill other spaces on those floors. There’ll be all kinds of handmade, locally made items and artwork for sale, so come to the spring open house to find something for mom for Mother’s Day.
It’s free and there’s free parking.
