Come Out to Slavic Village for Polish Constitution Day

Sun 4/29 @ 1:30PM

Where better to celebrate Polish Constitution Day that that old Eastern European ethnic enclave Slavic Village, now even more diverse?

Whatever your background, ethnicity, race etc, you’re invited to head south in I-77, get off at the Fleet Street exit, and become part of the colorful parade of native costumes and flags that will step off at 1:30pm on the recently upgraded Fleet near E 50th, which will be newly cleaned and decorated with bunting and freshly planted flowers.

Come early and have lunch at the Polish American Cultural Center starting at 11:30. The parade also ends up there where students from Polish schools and dance groups will be performing and where, we presume, refreshment will be available.

The festival celebrates only the second constitution anywhere in the world, written in 1791, shortly after the U.S. Constitution was ratified.
