For its next concert, Arts Renaissance Tremont bring in the husband/wife duo of violinist Jaime Laredo and cellist Sharon Robinson. Both have been on the faculty of the Cleveland Institute of Music although Laredo’s ties to Cleveland go back to the early 50s when he came here to study under then Cleveland Orchestra concertmaster Josef Gingold.
The duo will perform Johan Halvorsen’s Passacaglia based on themes by George Frideric Handel, Richard Danielpour’s 2010 Inventions on a Marriage, Edwin Schulhoff’s Duo, Mozart’s Duo in G. Major and Zoltán Kodály’s Duo, Op. 7.
The concert will take place in the usual location: Tremont’s Pilgrim Church. And as always, it’s free and open to all.
