Preterm Hosts Community Evening on LGBTQ Health Care

Mon 3/19 @ 6-8PM

Each month, women’s health clinic Preterm hosts a community outreach evening dealing with a different topic related to living an all-around healthier life.

This month, the event looks at how the health care community serves the needs of LGBTQ people, and how they can get access to competent, judgment-free care. The speaker is Dr. Natalie Hinchcliffe, a specialist in family medicine, LGBTQ care and abortion care, talking about myths surrounding LGBTQ health care and offer suggestions for resources. Two Patients to Advocates fellows will talk about their experiences with gender- and sexuality-affirming abortion care.

The event is free, and social workers can earn two free units o continuing education credits. There’s free parking in the Preterm parking lot so you can breeze right past the sour-faced old man with the anti-abortion sign. And there will be snacks!
