The Musical Rainbow programs at Severance Hall’s Reinberger Recital Hall introduce kids ages 3-6 to different instruments in the orchestra in bite-sized (half hour) pieces.
This week they’ll get a preview of one that’s way too big for them to handle right now — but they can dream. It’s the “Brilliant Bass,” which will be demonstrated by Cleveland Orchestra bassist Henry Peyrebrune. As usual, host Maryann Nagel will lead the kids in singing, clapping and jumping around to the short, accessible selections Peyrebrune will play.
