Local Indie Scene Veterans the Cross Brothers Band Release Debut CD at the Happy Dog

Fri 3/16 @ 9PM

Musician brothers Nick (vocals, guitars) and Tony (drums, guitars, vocals) Cross became mainstays of Cleveland’s underground music community when they formed their quirky indie pop quartet Coffinberry in the late ’90s.

The band had a long run, releasing a couple of CDs, an EP and a cassette before calling it quits in 2010. They went on to form Little Bighorn in 2012, and now the Cross Brothers Band, which also features Little Bighorn bassist Matt Charboneau (who is the chair of The Music Settlement’s Center for Music), Herzog drummer Dan Price and guitarist Will Nolan.

The Cross Brothers Band is now releasing its first album titled Living on Sheepheads, on the Cleveland-based Just Because label. They’ll mark the occasion with a how at the Happy Dog in Gordon Square. Glass Traps and Part Time Lover open, and there will also be a special performance in the Underdog by Sister Smirk. Admission is $6.
