Cleveland-based nonprofit Folknet, which promotes both local and touring acoustic performers, brings in Michigan-based couple Ruth and Max Bloomquist for its first spring concert at Lyndhurst’s Church of the Good Shepherd.
The duo has been performing their country/folk/bluegrass-based Americana music for four decades. And songwriter/vocalist Ruth won Merlefest’s 2003 Chris Austin Song Writing competition in 2003 with a gospel tune, demonstrating how much range they pack into the acoustic duo format. Tickets are $12 for Folknet members, $15 for non-members. There will be two more shows in the spring series. Series tickets are $30 for members, $36 for non-members.
